5000 eggs from the salmon caught during the Marine Scotland Fecundity Trial being well looked after by the staff at the hatchery in Almondbank. Whilst we didn’t catch the numbers we would have liked. It’s hopefully the start of something for the future. The licence will be applied for again for this season and a few changes to the way we carried it out will hopefully result in more salmon for the trial and more broodstock for the hatchery.
